@1:47 This looks like a famous duel between Myamoto Mushashi and Kojiro(?). Mushashi is famous Samurai (also known as Kensei - Sword Saint) who developed a fighting style where both the long and short swords are used in unison. In this particular duel (IIRC) he used a boat oar to kill his opponent. The style of Kendo (’Kenjutsu’) is know as Hyuo Ho Niten Itchi Ryu. Mushashi also wrote a book of strategy - Go Rin No Sho.
I’d love to get to Japan to further my martial arts (Kendo, Iaido) - hopefully I will in the next year or two.
