Japanese people love cute things, especially cats. So when they go to burn incense at world heritage sites like Todaiji or Kofukuji in Nara Park, it makes perfect sense they would keep their precious Schnookums along.
Japanese style fried pork cutlets on curry and rice (called katsu curry) is a dish I could eat everyday for a month and still love it afterward. The restaurant pictured is near Nara Station.

While exploring some of the less walked paths in Nara Park, I passed this delightfully vintage looking tea house. I was rushed to try to fit in the other main attractions like Todaiji and the stone lanterns leading up to Kasuga, so sadly couldn’t stop to look inside.
On the horizon:
Tomorrow: look forward to the remainder of my Nara pictures all at once including a cute picture of a cat. Ya, I know what you like.
Midweek: I’ll be posting a few photographs from Osaka.
Weekend and next week: I want to bring you pictures from my trip to Kyoto last month. I hit all the major tourist spots and now have my spin of photos from the major tourist spots as well as some places you likely have never heard (i.e. Ohara) of but will enjoy.
Near future: Last weekend I went camping near Dazaifu on Mt. Homan and took a plethora (you heard me) of winner shots of the autumn colors backed by ancient shrine grounds.

More handsome stone lanterns along the path leading to Kasuga Shrine in Nara Park.

Few things are simpler but more quaintly enchanting that the stone lanterns padding the walking path leading up to world reknown UNESCO World Heritage Site Kasuga Shrine in Nara Park.

These smaller shrines are common discoveries not only near major shrines but also while hiking the beautiful Japanese forests and even tucked away in residential areas. Just another reminder of the depth of the history and culture of Japan. This one is on the walking path leading to world reknown Kasuga Shrine in Nara park.
